The Greater Philadelphia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (GPHCC) identified a need to address the slow growth of Hispanics in management and positions of leadership, and to address increased high school drop-out rates. Led by an advisory board formed by Latino professionals, the Professional Mentoring Network (PMN) was created in 2007 to connect professionals with executives and with Latino high school youth to receive and provide mentoring activities that help them grow in their careers while motivating high school students to stay in school. The program also provides executives with exposure to the workforce and leadership of the future.
