Latin American Trade

The GPHCC recognizes the opportunities available to and from Latin America and has created a Latin American trade program to identify and source business development opportunities to and from Latin America for our membership. The program aims to maximize the potential between Pennsylvania and Latin America. The program includes trade missions, seminars and workshops with partners including Pennsylvania corporations, Pennsylvania DCED International Department, the U.S. Commercial Service and the World Trade Center of Greater Philadelphia.

The Latin American trade missions we host provide services that support and strengthen the impact of small Latino-owned businesses on the local and state economy; with the objective to help prepare and secure business development opportunities. We do this by:

  • Creating and increasing awareness among small businesses about Latin American services available to help them become export ready.
  •  Helping small businesses understand how the trade mission business to business meetings work towards building relationships.
  •  Meet with Chamber of Commerce’s and business organizations in each country to gain market intelligence, obtain trade leads, and explore partnership opportunities for educational purposes.
  •  Meet with government procurement departments in each country to learn about procurement systems in efforts to identify sales opportunities for members.
