Members sustain the Small Business Development and Education program by investing or participating in the various events and activities the program offers. The GPHCC holds two major annual events in support of the SBDE program: the Alegría Ball and the Annual Golf Tournament.
The Alegría Ball is the Greater Philadelphia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce’s signature fundraising event benefiting the Small Business Development and Education program, which offers workshops, seminars, minority business services, technical assistance and business development opportunities all year for Latino businesses across the region. This unique event brings together people of varied professional, business, ethnic and geographical backgrounds to achieve a common goal -- support of local Hispanic business development and education. Participants have an opportunity to connect with other professionals while also learning about the diversity of Latino cultural heritages. Click here to view the 2013 Alegria Ball Page.
Annual Golf Tournament
The Greater Philadelphia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce’s Annual Golf Tournament at Radnor Valley Country Club is a great networking event connecting business executives, professionals and small business owners in a pleasant and relaxing environment. The event provides an excellent and substantial opportunity for members to entertain prospective and existing clients in a healthy business environment while contributing to small Hispanic business education. The tournament is open to every level of golfer and offers an invigorating day of business networking, socializing and sporting fun. The day ends with dinner and awards for the 1st Place Team, Closest to the Pin (women and men), Longest Drive (women and men) and Most Honest Player.
Annual Meeting of the Membership
The bylaws of the Greater Philadelphia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce call for an annual meeting of the membership. The meeting has been designed to provide members with a review of its accomplishments for the prior year, with an overview of the coming year’s plans and with an introduction of newly inducted board members.
